Plein Air: Art in the Gardens Event
The Christopher Farm and Gardens is a proud partner of the Sheboygan Visual artists and offers the gardens as a host for one of the largest fundraisers for the SVA, Plein Air: Art in the Gardens. En plein air, a French expression meaning “in the open air”, references the act of painting outdoors. The 60 acres of botanical gardens found throughout The Christopher Farm and Gardens offers a wonderful setting for plein air artists to create artwork outside.

This event is open to the public and is a wonderful way for the community to engage with both local and traveling artists. Ticket sales go directly to the Sheboygan Visual Artists. Visitors might even find a piece of art to take home with them that day or commission a piece from one of their favorite artists that they see.

All ticket sale proceeds go to benefit the Sheboygan Visual Artists. Artworks completed during the event will be displayed during the Harvest Show at the Ebenreiter Gallery at 1201 Erie Ave, Sheboygan.  Prizes will also be awarded. The date of Plein Air: Art in the Gardens is August 17, 2024, with a rain date of August 18, 2024. For more information on the event and to get tickets, please visit the SVA event page: Sheboygan Visual Artists' Plein Air: Art in the Gardens.
