Lake Michigan Beach Garden
Walking along 1.25 miles of the Farm's Lake Michigan Beachfront one can find driftwood, colored glass, unique rocks and plastic items galore - from flip flops to crank bait.
The beach is also a habitat for many native mammals, birds, fish and amphibians.
Native plants and flowers take root in the sandy soil and are an important part of the vegetation ecosystem. On our bluff and beach we have a variety of mosses, grasses, wildflowers, shrubs and trees. The deep root systems of some of these plants are important to bluff stability.
